DAVID DAVIDSON

I have been an enthusiastic photographer for over 50 years now, starting when I was 14 with a simple fixed lens 35mm rangefinder.  At Edinburgh University in the mid-1970s I became Secretary and then President of Edinburgh University Photographic Society, building its membership, developing new photographic techniques and making life-long friends.

I made the leap from film in 2007.  It was the start of a whole new and enjoyable learning experience that continues to this day.  After a decade with Canon 5D2 kit I currently use a Sony A7R2 with Sony 12-24mm, 24-105mm, 90mm Macro,  and 100-400mm lenses.

I licence photographs through the Alamy stock image agency.  Clients include: The Times, Telegraph, Guardian, Scots Magazine, BBC and AOL to name a few.  However for me the most important element of photography is neither the equipment nor the sales but the sheer enjoyment of creating images.  I hope you find some here to your liking.  Please click on the menu bars at the top right of this page to reveal the galleries.
